BLEACHER BRAWLS

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 14, 2026

This policy explains what information Bleacher Brawls (“we”, “us”) collects when you use bleacherbrawls.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. If you create an account we collect your email address, a password and a username. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so we can’t read it. Your username is shown publicly on leaderboards.
  • Messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.

Gameplay information

When you’re signed in, we save the results of the puzzles you play: which puzzle, how many guesses and clues you used, your time and your score. We also keep a record of which players you’ve already seen, so practice puzzles don’t repeat. If you play as a guest, results aren’t saved to an account. A short list of players you’ve seen is kept in your browser’s session storage for the life of that tab and is gone when you close it.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type, device information and the pages you request, which appears in server logs.
  • Abuse prevention. To stop people from automated guessing and repeated sign-in attempts, we keep a short-lived counter of requests tied to your IP address. These records are kept only briefly and are cleared out automatically.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, what devices they use and how they found the site. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential cookies. When you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in as you move between pages. The site needs it to work for account holders.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits and visitors apart.
  • Advertising cookies. If advertising is shown on the site, our advertising partner sets cookies, as described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to stay signed in. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

Advertising

We may show ads on the site through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, which may be based on your visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google’s partner sites page, and you can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of many other companies’ personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, we’ll ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

How we use information

  • To run the games, save your scores and show leaderboards.
  • To create and secure your account, and to send sign-in emails such as account confirmation and password reset messages.
  • To protect the site from abuse and keep it working.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • To show advertising that helps pay for the site.
  • To answer your messages and meet our legal obligations.

Who we share information with

We don’t sell your personal information for money. We share information as follows:

  • Service providers. We use Vercel to host the site, Supabase to store accounts and game data and handle sign-in, and Google for analytics and advertising. They process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Publicly on the site. Your username and scores appear on leaderboards. Please don’t use a username that contains personal information.
  • Team logos. Some team logos are loaded directly from MLB’s servers, so MLB’s servers can see your IP address when your browser fetches them.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site, our users or others.

How long we keep information

We keep your account and gameplay information until you ask us to delete it. Abuse-prevention counters are cleared out automatically after a short time. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account. Email us at bleacherbrawls@gmail.com from the address on your account and include your username. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll delete your profile, username and saved scores and aim to finish within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may also have rights to object to or restrict certain uses of your information, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sharing of information for personalized advertising. You can use the advertising controls described above, or contact us and we’ll help. You also have the right to complain to your local privacy authority.

Children

Bleacher Brawls isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security and where information is processed

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on the site.
